Shoulder Lateral Rotation and Wrist Flexion Exercise

  Shoulder Lateral Rotation             Normal and Good ·         Face lying with arm abducted to go degrees arm supported on table and forearm hanging vertically over edge. ·         Stabilize scapula with hand and forearm but allow freedom for rotation. ·         Patient swings forearm forward and upward and laterally rotates arm through range of motion. ·         Resistance is given above wrist on forearm. Note: Resistance should be given slowly and carefully in test for rotation at the hip and shoulder, use of the long lever arm can cause injury to joint structures if not controlled.
